Billboards have become a central part of many American cities. Traffic safety issues and energy waste represent some of the concerns associated with the steady increase of billboards. Knowing where they are is a first step to address this problem. As an example, Los Angeles City alone has an estimated 10.000 commercial billboards. SignSense is mapping these signs as some cities do not hold this information.

SignSense is a UCLA Research spin-off and uses their mobile technology to empower our users to use their cell phones as the documentation tool.
